The more things change, the more they stay the same.  Except for the constitution.  We’ve amended the hell out of that.  You can thank said amendments for important rights such as not being forced to turn your house into a barracks for the redcoats.  Think of how often that would happen otherwise.  Also there are some in there about voting and speech or whatever.
