Tom Barnard Morning Show: Hour 1 – Goodnight, Bobby Knight

Tom unveiled the first winner of the Eagles Farewell Tour contest to join Tom in his suite at the XCEL Energy Center to enjoy the show. Sign up for a chance to win online or through the Tom Barnard Show app!

In the first hour, SKOR North’s Judd Zulgad talks about the passing of legendary basketball coach Bobby Knight, and KSTP’s Chris Egert on the upcoming new Minnesota state flag and news on a local fire.

Hour #2 has local producer and filmmaker Adrian Wilson stop by the studio to promote the Twin Cities Toy Drive and discuss his work in the community.

In Hour #3, Adrian Wilson continues his toy drive even as college tuition continues to skyrocket. The two have nothing to do with one another, we just wanted to take a shot at the education system. Kristyn Burtt, meanwhile, discusses what happens when the protagonist in a comedy film falls in love. Usually, the answer is “the film gets a lot less funny”.

On the Family, Ben Penrod comes in to promote Twin Cities Con, a convention about comics, anime, video games, and all the other “nerd stuff”. I’m a nerd, so I’m allowed to call it that. If you want to gain some nerd cred yourself, buy a ticket and drop on by this Friday through Sunday. It’s not going to be streamed anywhere, so in-person is your only chance, just as it should be.

Stream the show LIVE on the Tom Barnard Show app M-F from 8-12PM or get the show on-demand on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts!
